Delegate Cole believes that small businesses are the backbone of Virginia’s economy and has fought to keep Virginia the best state for business in the country. Many of Virginia’s small businesses are in dire need of economic assistance to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why Delegate Cole supports the American Rescue Plan, providing additional funding for various relief programs, and the Rebuild Virginia Grant Program, which has helped more than 3000 small businesses and non-profits since August 2020. Delegate Cole also believes in the importance of investing in minority-owned businesses. That’s why he has supported legislation to establish grants and enhancement programs to launch women-owned and minority-owned businesses.
